Welcome to Year Two of Angry Faerie. Yes, the official anniversary passed yesterday (2/8)and so here we go with the second year of Angry Faerie. So far I think we're off to a good start because hey... here's the strip, on time once again. Seems like a good way to begin, don't you think?

Writing AF's clone isn't always easy. She needs to sound somewhat similar to AF, but she's definitely her own person and hopefully there's enough difference between her expressions and speech that people can spot her as being the clone.

In any event, it looks like I'll be having a table in the Artist Alley at this years Comicfest ( in April. If you happen to be in Denver, be sure to stop by and say hi.

So... your turn to talk. What's going on?

If you're reading this, it's because my hosting service is in the middle of transferring to a new host or server or something like that. Unfortunately that means it's currently in "no-upload mode", which means I can't upload Friday's Angry Faerie strip.

At least I can't upload it here.

I will instead be uploading it to both my deviantart page ( ) and Angry Faerie's facebook page ( ).

If my server happens to come back up soon, I'll upload the strip to this site and you'll probably never even notice this message.

Sorry for any inconvenience and hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.

Thanks again,

Scott S.

Very easy to spot the difference, yes :)

Apparently it's a lot easier to get in the Clone's pants..

A whole new way to disarm and de-armour the Draugr?

...Yeah...I'll go with that...
DSW 9th Feb 2011, 6:46 AM edit delete reply
So are you ever going to publish AF?
bbedlam 9th Feb 2011, 7:06 AM edit delete reply
@Magravan - now you don't know that! I mean, she's wearing leather pants that are virtually skin tight. There's not much room to get into there...

@Jrade - Well, they do say to "know thine enemy"... maybe it's supposed to be in the biblical sense?

@DSW - there is a mini-comic I put together for last years ComicFest in Denver that collects the first 24 strips. I'm guessing this year I'll do at least 2 more issues for April. After that, I'll probably need to see what kind of interest there is in a bigger collection of the full 1st year.

Steve the Mew hunter
the hair tye doesn't look pleased... is that a bad thing?
bbedlam 9th Feb 2011, 11:25 AM edit delete reply
@leyna - Aside from the missing face thing, he still looks like he's in good shape right? High cheekbones, square jaw... how could a lady resist?

@Steve - it's not necessarily a bad thing. The emotion guards clearly don't always the same expressions as the person they're attached to. Maybe he's just afraid her hair will get mussed up if they get into a torrid clench of some kind...

1. There is huge interest in a printed AF collection! Gimme, gimme, gimme.

B. I agree with Leyna, the Draugr is well built for an undead thing.

Holy crap, she really makes a special effort to differentiate herself from the REAL AF.

Don't do it, Clone High, you don't know what kind of VD dead people carry!!
bbedlam 9th Feb 2011, 10:54 PM edit delete reply
@Lina: 1. Well, since you're asking so nicely I'll see what can be done about making a collected print collection. I just need to figure out a format and whatnot. B) Hey, he's a muscular, tall long haired rockstar of a monster, right?

@Pixie - I don't know that she makes a special effort to differentiate herself, or if it just kinda happens. After all, she's a clone who was raised by Brinda (and possibly Artus?) .. so...

"He's a muscular, tall, long haired rockstar of a monster, right?"
And with that he reminds me of Iron Maidens adorable mascot: Eddie!
(ok, so Eddie's a bit on the skinny side, but still! He could be a more famous relative of the Draugur ;) )

@Tiani - hmm... I hadn't thought of that, but yeah, he could be a distant relative of Eddie. Interesting....
