Well no one ever said finding one spirit in the underworld was going to be easy, right?

So there's that.

And with that... well... I'm writing this on 2/7/13. And Angry Faerie started on 2/7/10. That means we're starting the 4th year of Angry Faerie today. I'd like to think that AF has improved over the past 3 years. I think the artwork has improved and that the story has become more involving. Of course I look back at some of those early pages and there was a lot more feedback, so I'm not sure if I've lost some readers or if some of them have just stopped commenting, but I'm not really worried about that. I write and draw Angry Faerie mainly for myself... in other words, I write it to entertain myself, but I do take a lot of satisfaction in knowing there are people out there who enjoy it too.

In the past three years I've gone from just doing this strip as kind of a "well, I'll do it for a while until I lose interest" time killer to something I invest a lot of my time and energy into. I've gone from doing little angry faerie mini-comics to having an actual Angry Faerie manga that is available in actual brick & mortar comic shops. I'll even be starting to put together the 2nd manga soon, so it can be released at Denver Comic-Con 2013.

This year I hope to start advertising AF by joining up with Project Wonderful. Also will hopefully be updating the website layout.

So really, just a big thank you to everyone who, over the past three years, have left a comment, read the comic, spread the word... I really do appreciate it and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the comic.

Sincerely,

Scott S.

Wow! Has it been three years since you showed me the initial drawings of the AF? Since we were introduced to the game "Stomp the Elfie?"

I agree the art has gotten better--the storylines seem to maintain the fun and in your face attitude. But sometimes, I think we need to have AF beating up on Mika again--just for old time's sake.

This is still my favorite webcomic Scott--so I'll be here for the next three too....Thanks.

As to toadys' strip--All AF has to do is look for the spirit who's trying to kill the other ones--her mom is the Murder Faerie, right? And I LOVE the Eyes closeup in Panel 3.

@WhiteOwl - yeah, it's been a long time since this all started, and yet not that long at all in the scheme of things. I agree though that I need to get the comic "back to basics" in a way. The storylines have become a lot longer and move involved. I think once the Underworld thing wraps up I'll be able to start writing shorter stories and be able to put a bit more goofy stuff back in there.

Thanks for the continued support. It's appreciated! :)

Love it. Though somewhere along the way the story seems to have taken a strange turn, but we'll see where it takes us

@Fluffy Doom - yeah, the story has definitely gone into stranger, more involved places. I'm glad you're still enjoying though.

Wow ... Has it really been that long? *Checks dates* Holy hell it has!

Quite some time ago now (not sure if 2 or a little over) years ago I came across a webcomic called Angry Fairy. It was very short and still obviously in it's infancy. I read what was there, laughed, but soon I had forgotten about it (SORRY!!). Around 7 months ago now another webcomic I was reading had a comment about AF on one of the pages; I thought "Hey! I remember that! I wonder what has happened since I last read." Ever since then I have been reading (and rereading) AF nonstop. And more recently leaving comments. Keep up the excellent work my good man!

As for the page. Needle in a haystack? With AF it's more like find the hay in the needle stack.

@Spikes - Yep, it's been that long. And since you've come back to the fold (one of us! One of us!) I'll forgive the brief lapse. For I am kind.. unlike AF who would lick you repeatedly in the nuts. :)
