It was bound to happen eventually, right? We've had Gods and Goddesses and Spirits and Elf and Faerie royalty, so it was just a matter of time before Death itself got involved somehow.

Not that AF seems impressed. And I seriously doubt this will end up with her playing chess against Death either.

Very Ingmar Bergman! Of course Faerie would find it neat. I just hope she hasn't seen Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey or Death my find himself...well, discomforted.

Sorry I haven't commented this week--but the story is pacing nicely! Have a great Labor Day Scott!

@White Owl - AF doesn't watch a lot of movies. She listens to a lot of music instead. I don't think she'd find Bill & Ted funny even if she did watch movies. She seems more of an action movie kind of person to me.

Glad to have you back with us!

Ah the classic Death avatar. Personally I prefer Death from the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman but the classics are hard to beat.

@DocSavage - I am a big fan of Gaiman's version of Death (who isn't?) but if I want to include these pages in the compilation down the line I can't use characters that DC owns the copyright to. Plus, "Classic Death" just fits in better with the comic :)

I love AF's reaction lol. I like your version of Death as well.

One of the representations of death I have seen and found amusing has been in the webcomic "Life & Death". It's hosted on the duck and smackjeeves. The duck is currently down but it's up to date on smackjeeves.

@Spikes - Glad you like AF's reaction. Based on AF's choice of belt buckle, and the decoration on her axe, I thought it would be appropriate for her to be a bit of a fan-girl.

Not familiar with "Life & Death" but I'll have to give it a look at some point :)

Figures that Death and AF would hit it off, I have a feeling the "bargain" will be to th mutual benefit, and enjoyment, of both :)
... also, DO read Life & Death! XD

@Hogan - the relationship between Death & AF will be explored next week. It's probably not what you'd expect. I hope :)

Not Chess, but Hungry Hungry Hippos with souls substituting as marbles... ^\/^ sorry...couldn't help myself...

No... your DEATH is very Terry Pratchet-esque and ti goes well with your AF World. I was curious how AF was going to get out of this one after having her heart peirced riven cleaved broken by a beautiful blonde goddess... (somehow that seems wrong and so right... hmmm!)

@DuLapel - probably not Hungry Hungry Hippos.... maybe Cards Against Humanity?

My Death is pretty much the standard "Grim Reaper" kinda guy. I never got into Terry Pratchet, despite trying on a few occasions.

i think a kick to the pelvic bone is more likely than chess

@Aqua - that does seem more like that chess, yep. Maybe they'll just play Magic: The Gathering instead?
aqua 2nd Sep 2013, 4:09 AM edit delete reply
hmm i'd peg SlapJack as AF's card game of choice.

@Aqua - I thought AF's game of choice would be Fizzbin....
