Page 651!

I do like that first panel a lot. Actually I like most of this page. I think I varied the head shots to keep things more or less dynamic and interesting.

And here's another reminder that I'll be at the Maine Comics Art Festival (mecaf) on Sunday, May 18th. If you're in the area I hope you'll come on by and say hello. I'll have both AF manga for sale along with the Pillow Talk mini-comic.. plus sketches/commissions/yada yada yada.

After MeCAF I don't have any scheduled appearances until August when I'll be at Boston Comic Con.

Today's page was penciled while listening to the War Rocket Ajax podcast and inked while watching MILIUS on Netflix. Really good documentary about one of the more interesting screenwriters from the 80's.

White Owl
Now Rocky gets all mysterioso. A good strip especially in light of Loki's recent revelations. Wonder what the Elemental's reasons are...

@White Owl - I think it's pretty obvious that the elemental must have his own reasons for doing things right? He just hasn't bothered to explain them yet. Of course you're right.. with Loki's recent comments, it does put it in a different light doesn't it?

... odd question: why is Loki's face always in shadow? I keep meaning to ask, but I keep spacing it out. Is it explained in-story, or is it purely a style choice?

@Silka - Why is Loki's face always (or almost always) in shadows? There is a reason, but it hasn't actually been addressed at this point. There IS a reason for it though... so just stay tuned and eventually it will be revealed.
